You will fall in love...

The charm of a vacation in the vineyard lies in the home you stay in. And this home has plenty of charm. From its vibrant exterior to its pristinely kept interior, I fell in love with this home. It was a pleasure to meet the owner Guy, who was so warm and inviting. I stayed here with a group of friends, and it was amazing to wake up each morning, sit in the large wicker chairs on the front porch, have a coffee or mimosa and just chat the morning away while music filled the house (every room has speakers!). This home had all the comforts of home that you could think of. It felt like home so much we wanted to spend most of our time there. But since the beach is literally a 2 minute walk we couldn't resist dividing our time. My friends and I decided before the vacation was over that going forward this would always be the home we stay in during our annual visit. It was simply that great!

Fabulous Beach House!

5 of 5
My daughter and I drove across the country and treated ourselves to a weekend in this fabulous beach house at the end of our trip. So glad we did! This house was really perfect - located on a quiet street yet just steps from the beach and the house had everything we needed and more! The cottage was beautifully decorated - the wall colors, tilework, hardwood floors, artwork - and used space so well providing everything you could want in a rental. I loved the private patio where I read at the start of each day. After driving from coast to coast, it was so nice to park the car (parking pass for street provided) and be able to walk everywhere - to the beach, to great restaurants, to shops. Dayle provided bikes for us to use and we had a terrific bike ride on the coastal bike path. Now that our daughter will be living in LA, we plan to come back regularly and will definitely stay here when we visit!

Was happy to be able to visit again!

In 2013 I had the pleasure of renting this cottage for 7 months. I used it as my summer weekend getaway since I only live a little over an hour away. It was "love at first sight" when Nancy first showed me the property. It is so artsy, but also comfy and welcoming. It is next to impossible to find something of this quality in this vicinity (I searched quite awhile). I really did feel so at home and like it was "mine". As others have stated, there is every appliance and utensil you could possibly need. The apartment size refrigerator is perfect, and I didn't miss having an actual cooktop stove/oven. There are so many good and unique places to dine out very close by. And with a grocery store near also, you needn't worry about stocking up. I loved the fact that Nokomis Beach is only a few minutes away and also enjoyed bike riding on the Legacy Trail very close by. Its so easy to get to the beach quickly to watch the sun set. I loved the privacy on the back deck, along with the umbrella and table. I didn't spend a lot of time on the Secret Garden deck. Mosquitos were a little pesky the few times I tried, or it was just too humid out for me. There was a pileated woodpecker who would admire his reflection in my car window a few times, who pecked furiously. He was easy enough to shoo away. I would also suggest not parking directly under the enormous pine tree when its really warm. Sap WILL drop down! (only a drop or two from time to time) As a single lady, I felt very safe here. I also prudently kept the door locked when I wasn't outdoors. I would highly recommend staying here and hope you love it just as I did!
