Our stay at your beautiful home was the highlight of our summer! The location is remote, yet near so much. Our children (6 & 8) had so much fun - hiking literally out the back door with us! Thank you for the hospitality - we will surely return!

I can't say enough positive things about Storm & Amy's villa. It is exactly as advertised, kitchen is well-stocked, including decent bath & beach towels (none of those tiny, scratchy white ones here!). The views are amazing, I could have sat out on the deck all day but there were too many fun things to do in the area. We saw toucans, monkeys, lizards and tons of other birds right from the deck. We also hiked farther up the road into the rainforest early in the morning and saw lots of poison dart frogs. Having a private pool was fantastic - our kids could swim as much as they liked while we were making meals or whatever, instead of a community pool where we'd have to chaperone them. Amy & Storm left us with several suggestions on beaches / restaurants, as well as recommendations for activities. Highly recommend Sunset Surf for surf lessons & the Nauyaca Falls horseback trip. I would stick with the beaches they recommend, they were all great. One day we went to the Marino Ballena National Park beach (which was not on their list). Although the beach was visually awesome, the vibe there was a little unpleasant - police patrolling the beach and some locals eyeing our stuff a little too closely. There are too many other nice beaches that are free with a more relaxed vibe. Playa Ventanas was awesome, be prepared to pay a German guy who lives there about $5 to park, but it's worth it. The villa has 3 AC units, one in each bedroom and one on the main level, so we found that we only needed to run the bedroom ACs at night, the rest of the time, we could just open the doors & windows. The location is fantastic, walking distance to Dominicalito beach and a waterfall with a swimming hole, and just a short drive to other beaches & restaurants. We ate at several of the restaurants Amy & Storm recommended, including their own Jolly Roger (great, friendly staff & awesome views!), Tortilla Flats, PorQueNo, La Parcela and Sabor Espanol to name a few. It is the tropics and sometimes things don't work as consistently as in the US (water, power, WIFI, etc), but the few minor occurrences didn't impact our trip. I've lived and worked in a lot of tourist destinations and I can honestly say the local population in this part of CR is friendlier and more laid back than anywhere else I've traveled. They truly are living the Pura Vida!

This vacation was exactly what we had hoped. Our kids are mostly grown and we wanted a vacation that provided a balance of family time and activities. We got just that. The house was warm and inviting and perfect for a family. It is in pristine condition and Anthony was available if needed at all times. The hot tub, fire pit and awesome game room made staying at the house so much fun. Don't let the lack of TV scare you--it was refreshing to be without electronic devices. For the occasional can't miss sports event, you can hook up a laptop to the huge movie screen. Many day trips are within two hours drive....white water rafting in Errol, NH; a delightful day at Boothbay Harbor, especially the lobster bake on Cabbage Island; shopping/lighthouse exploring in Portland; touristing in Kennebunkport; many local hikes; Sebago lake activities. The weather was beautiful...the one or two days it rained, we spent inside playing games and making memories we'll treasure forever. I absolutely recommend this property!!
