Fantastic!!!

5 of 5
From the moment we started walking down the brick path past the lit archway to the cabin we knew we were in for a treat! It was more than we expected and close to so much yet nestled away from the busy life. Since we were there in October the heated floors were great as well as the gas stove fireplace on main floor and lower floor. The circular stairs which incorporated snow shoes and a tree was the talk of our conversations with friends and family. Since we were there for a wedding our only regret is not having more time to spend at the cabin. A plus is they do accept well behaved dogs. :)

Family and Friends

5 of 5
This place is perfect for a family or friend gathering. Plenty of things to do and plenty of space. We will surely book again!

Our stay was wonderful!

This is such a unique and special place - one of the original cottages on the lake and probably one that has the most character! The 3 buildings are so neat -- the main house/cottage (bldg 2 picture) has 2 bedrooms/kitchen/bath/porch/deck. We slept & ate there and found it perfect - it was clean, the bed was very comfortable, it had all the necessities we needed. They even had a few DVD's if you forget yours. Bldg 1 we spent one night enjoying the old bar setting and listened to the Badger football game on the radio. It was so relaxing and had such great energy. It would be a great gathering place for a bigger group. Bldg 3 is an adorable "guest room" that has 2 beds - would be a great spot for kids or a third couple. There were only 2 of us so we didn't take full advantage of all of the "buildings" but we loved it just the same. We rented a pontoon boat at Dings Dock that is really close and easy to get to/from by car and by boat We kept it on the pier and loved exploring the chain of lakes. We didn't spend much time in the water but recommend swimming off the end of the dock as near shore it's a little muddy (but the water is crystal clear). There is also a shared swim raft you can use. If you are looking for a special place with history and can appreciate some level of "rustic" - this place is for you. It was absolutely wonderful!!!!
