Wonderfully Secluded with Close Access to Door County!

5 of 5
Our family - my partner & two sons (ages 7 & 11) and my parents - spent almost a week at Moonlight Magic, and could have easily stayed longer. This is a gorgeous, quiet place - within simple drives of all the fun that Door County offers! We drove to some sandy beaches, explored light houses, took a ferry ride to Washington Island, etc - and came home every evening to a quiet, peaceful location right on the lake. We saw multiple geese; had many campfires; played board games... Tammy and her family are SO responsive to guest needs! We feel very fortunate to have found Moonlight Magic, and have already visited with friends about the possibility of returning next year! Thanks, Tammy! You have a beautiful property!

Great house for couples gatherings

5 of 5
This was the second year that our group of neighbors (12) stayed at Mary's Beach House and it is a perfect accommodation for us. Each of the four downstairs bedrooms are good sized and have king beds & closet space. One couple stayed in the "den" pull out...but the room, although a little smaller, allowed same privacy as the bedrooms. The 2 1/2 baths on the first floor were quite adequate to allow the group their space with out waiting, The upstairs suite is beautiful with wonderful views of forest and lake. The bed there is a twin. The walk-in shower there is GREAT!! We all enjoyed the 5 mile winding drive up Glidden road to Donny' Glidden Lodge...a great supper club. Just be sure you leave the hall and outside lights ON when you head out as the area is pretty dark when you are driving home after dinner,

Great ... with a couple caveats

4 of 5
We enjoyed 5 wonderful days at this log cabin, which - as others have said - is as described. Fred was prompt and helpful in responding to our questions in advance of our arrival. A couple things you should know: the ladder to the loft is steep, making it a challenge for anyone who may have to make a trip to the bathroom during the night. For persons who have challenges with fragrances, know that we found the bedroom on the ground floor had a fairly strong mold smell, which is understandable for an older cabin. In addition, the strong fragrance of odor eliminators placed throughout the cabin was a challenge for us, since we're sensitive to strong smells. Fortunately the weather was nice, so we could keep the windows open to provide fresh air. The cabin contains fun and remarkable family memorabilia, which provides for interesting reading. One final piece: it took a follow-up email and two weeks to get our deposit back, a bit of a surprise, given how responsive Fred was on the front end.
