GOING BACK EVERY YEAR!

5 of 5
We first chose this large lake home because they accepted pets, but we couldn't have asked for a better place! The photos on this site don't do it justice. The home is nicely updated with two large bedrooms upstairs and a connecting bathroom. There is another bedroom and bathroom downstairs as well. The large living and dining room can accommodate a big group and the large upper deck is perfect place to enjoy the spectacular lake view. The kitchen is roomy and very clean. The only suggestion we have is to replace the old charcoal grill, it was a bit rickety, but we managed. Although Oak Leaf Lodge is near several other cabins, it feels very private and we were barely aware of our neighbors. The managers of this property are top-notch. Last year, we had 6 adults in our group and two Labrador retrievers (additional pet deposit required). We also rented a pontoon boat from the managers and it made our vacation nearly perfect. The only thing we couldn't control was the cooler than normal weather. However, we are hoping for a few more degrees and a few more fish when we return again this August! We have referred this place to several of our friends and some of them will be renting another cabin on the grounds this year.

BEAUTIFUL HOME IN A PERFECT LOCATION!

5 of 5
This is a beautiful home with all the ammenities of home. We had 2 familite staying here and there is plenty of room for everyone. The pictures on the website show exactly how the house looks and it was very clean. The location is great, close to shopping and great resturants nearby. I would definetely recommend this property. It was also very close to the great bike trail in that area.

NICE PLACE TO STAY IN NORTHWOODS

4 of 5
We stayed here for 4 nights over the Memorial Day weekend. This cabin was very clean & cozy, towels, linens, dishes, Weber grill, and firewood were included. There is a lot of space to hike or just spread out & relax by the fire pit, an old abandoned railroad path nearby makes an excellent hiking trail into the woods. The lake along with the wooded setting make this property pristine. The only problem we had was that the other bigger property nearby had a group of college kids staying in it, who shot off fireworks from time to time. In my opinion fireworks & the northwoods don't mesh. The northwoods are peaceful, natural, and bucolic; unnecessary noise disrupts the solitude. Also, the office mistakenly charged us an additional 4.5% tax on top of the 5.5% Wis sales tax on the total bill, they get the extra tax for lodging in nearby St Germain but not in the town of Plum Lake;. They gladly redid our bill when we pointed this out to them. If you want a nice northwoods getaway, this would be a good place.
