Clean and Comfortable, Like New Throughout

5 of 5
We took a last minute trip with two small grandchildren to greet the early snow. The cabin is exactly as described. Large property for that "alone in the woods" feeling, but town is just minutes away. Wood burning stove keeps it warm. Like new appliances. Great communication from the owners. If you're coming from the South, get off the highway in Merrill and take 107 along the Wisconsin River for a scenic drive.

Nicely equipped and secluded

5 of 5
We had a group of 9 in this clean spacious cabin. We were very pleased with the way the house was laid out and the amenities. From little things like lots of towels and linens and lots of hooks to hang towels and gear, to the kayaks and canoes that are included. Kitchen was well equipped and the 2 refrigerators worked well for food and drinks. We appreciated the quality dry firewood provided (honor system payments). It is nice paddle down the river to the lake (and the eagle's nest). We caught a bucket full of crawfish for dinner in the river by hand and they were the best we had ever had (including 'Nawlins). Lots of wildlife to see including river otters, herons, kingfisher, loons and more. If you are into biking the roads and trails are perfect for hybrids or mountain bikes. The property is on a peninsula / bend in the river and you cannot see the neighbors. Definitely recommended.

Great Escape

5 of 5
My family and I spent an extended weekend in this beautiful cabin in the woods. The owners are more than helpful with any questions you have and have stocked the house with just about anything you could ever forget. The wildlife was plentiful and didn't seem to hear anything going on inside the house because my kids would yell Dad come look at this buck, porcupine or whatever it was and I would expect them to be gone but it was as if we weren't there.
