A Nicely Appointed Lake Cottage

5 of 5
Overall, we were very pleased with this lake cottage. Many lake cottages seem to be about 10 years past their prime: older furniture, sort of damp with a musty smell. This cottage was the opposite of that: the flooring, appliances, kitchen, bedroom and bathrooms were all up to date furniture, fresh smell, and new overall look to the cottage. Only have 1 bathroom for 5 people required a bit of coordinating, but that is something we had anticipated. It came with a lot of "stuff" that is easily forgotten when packing for a trip. For example, there is a coffee maker, knives, cooking utensils and cleaning supplies already present in the cottage that helped a lot. There is WiFi at the cottage that was fast enough to allow 2-3 devices to be able to watch YouTube videos with relative ease. There is an excellent lake view. The dock was convenient for tying off our canoe, which we were able to carry down the steps to the lake. Fishing off the dock was active. We didn't catch any lunkers just off the dock, but the action was consistent enough that younger children thoroughly enjoyed the fishing. The owner was very responsive, responding in a timely manner to all our inquiries. His recommendations for food and places to visit were spot on.

Great Family Vacation on the Lake!

5 of 5
New condo, beautifully furnished. Felt just like home. Enjoyed grilling and eating outside on the patio overlooking the lake. Loved sitting around the firepit and watching the gorgeous sunsets. You feel like you are up north in a secluded little town but it is only 50 miles away from where we live (Madison). We skied, kneeboarded & tubed. Took the kids out fishing and we even caught fish right off the pier. So many things to do in the area. Went golfing. Went to a play at Thrasher House in Green Lake. Kids loved the flea market in Princeton and the outdoor pool. We walked to the great supper club "Pub & Prime" and visited a nearby Amish community and bought some homemade bakery and fresh vegetables and fruit. This is a great value for the money. We just reserved a week for this summer.
