We didn't want to leave . . . So we didn't!

The listing describing Butternut Bungalow is conservative and understated. If I wrote the description it would be short and oozing adjectives: "Wow! Perfect! Picturesque! Need to get away? Then this is the perfect get-away!" The cabin is private, rural, well appointed, and a short 30 foot stroll from the lake! We enjoy celebrating Christmas at lakeside cabins in winter. It gives us a glimpse into its snowy, quiet nature absent of Summer vacationers. The owners lived just a stone's throw away yet surprisingly, honored our privacy. If you're looking to get away from the fast pace of life, then Butternut Bungalow is your ideal get-away.

Relaxing

Thanks Barb and Rick for being so accommodating and kind! We stayed at the lake house for a weekend away without the kiddos. It was so relaxing to sit by the bonfire and enjoy the lake. We really enjoyed our time there!

Relaxing....

Enjoyed our stay. Fished from the yard and caught lots of cat fish and some good size carp. If there was a die off of the carp they are making their way back! Enjoyed star gazing from the hot tub and fire pit. Only thing was when we arrived the canoe and paddle boat were full of water. Kids had to drag the canoe out and rinse it then scoop the water from the paddle boat with bowls. Great to be able to stroll down to Karen's for the Fish Fry on Fri (beautiful Sunset) and grab some pizza's for the Packer Game on Sunday.
