Great Place for a Family Reunion

5 of 5
We had a mini family reunion this past September. This house and location were a perfect fit for our group of 12 people. There are excellent views out of nearly every window and skylight. There is a Crow’s Nest on top of the roof that provides a wonderful view of the Whitefish Dunes State Park and beautiful Lake Michigan. The house is smartly spread out so it never seemed like we were on top of each other. Our kids liked hanging out in the Rec Room and played many games of ping pong. The parents spent most of the time relaxing by the fire. We also took several hikes in the Whitefish Dunes and along the shores of Lake Michigan. The entire area is absolutely gorgeous. One day we visited a restaurant bar nearby called the Hitching Post. I highly recommend their cheese curds. We also treated ourselves to one night of fine dining at The Glidden Lodge restaurant which is just over a mile away. We absolutely loved the house and location - it was exactly as described. We have already made plans to return again next year.

Great property for a family gathering!

5 of 5
We stayed at this property for a week, for a family reunion to celebrate the Folks' 50th Wedding Anniversary. This was an awesome place for us to do so! Plenty of room for all six couples/families. Sunning on the deck, walking across the road to the beach to play, exploring the Whitefish Dunes State Park, visiting neighboring communities for morning, afternoon, day, meal, and ice cream trips...the opportunities are endless! We wanted for nothing and the property manager was spot on for any assistance needed. If you go to Washington island, skip the Tram Tour - you'll only get 5 minutes at Schoolhouse Beach, but an hour at the Ace Hardware store. Bring your own vehicle instead. Enjoy! We did!
