Loved it and didn't want to leave.

Sunset Nook was even better than we imagined. So cozy and decorated very nice. The view of the water was very nice and it was within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Read all the notes from other guests that have stayed and all were very positive. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Everything you need for a home away from home was provided. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a getaway.

One of a Kind

5 of 5
Planning a bachelor party getaway, I came across Adeline's House of Cool by total chance while cruising through VRBO's website. Despite my trepidation about its distance, rural area and price, I couldn't be more thoroughly satisfied and "WOWED" by my experience at this house. After our arrival, every person in the group had the same question..."Where did you find this place???" The owner, a fine and extremely helpful gent named Brian, made me look like a total genius. The residence itself encompasses so many personalities, but I would almost liken it to living at a giant bar with bedrooms, a cozy den, a grill and fire pit, and the biggest jacuzzi you have ever seen in your entire life!! My description can't even do this place the proper justice it deserves. There are so many things to see, do, and explore both outdoors and indoors that you may find yourself feeling like you didn't get to witness it all by the time you leave. The second floor balcony is a maze with beautiful sight-lines and places to relax everywhere. Did I mention that this place is nestled right on a little stream that leads to Lake Puckaway? We were consistently mesmerized by the decor, layout, and little items that add to the character of the house. Although we were here for a bachelor party (and took full advantage of the bar/party like atmosphere) this place is perfect for families, couples, or any sizeable group that is looking for the perfect vacation that is far enough away, but not TOO far away. The owner, Brian, and the greeter/caretaker, Tom, were both extremely friendly, helpful, and desired to do everything in their power to make sure we were prepared, informed, and had an all-around enjoyable experience. I will most definitely be going back to Adeline's House of Cool, and anyone reading this review is definitely missing out on a special experience if they ultimately abstain.

Charming and Comfortable

5 of 5
This property exceeded expectations. The photographs do not really do justice to this cottage. This is an old-style, bungalow cottage, as shown in the photos, but it is VERY charmingly decorated and VERY clean and well maintained. All sorts of details have been thought of, to make your stay comfy and pleasant. There are interesting books, good magazines, and lots of information and brochures about Green Lake to read; there are fun cds (movies) to watch on a good, new television; nice new chairs on the dock for lounging. The sheets and other linens are fresh and clean, the choice of textiles around the house is pleasing, and all cushions and curtains are new and fresh. There are lovely paintings and other colorful touches throughout the house. The kitchen is well equipped. If you forgot your shampoo, some nice toiletries are provided, just in case. The feeling is more like being in a well-maintained bed and breakfast rather than a rental, because it really is very charming. More importantly, everything "works": the weekend we were there the weather was chilly and we were happy that it was no problem getting the thermostat and heat to come on and warm up the house a little after a rain shower. The owner is very responsive, and clearly loves this well-maintained property. The neighbor was there during our stay and a pleasant, lovely person. I recommend this property. Thank you, Patti!
