Nice relaxing get away from it all

4 of 5
Went with 3 girls and had a great girls weekend at this cabin. It was cozy and warm once we got the fire going which took a while because the firewood was wet. Would suggest you bring some dry kindling. The hot tub was awesome even though the weather went from 50's on Friday to only 15 on Sunday morning. Didn't matter because the hot tub was nice and hot. A few suggestions though if you go in winter, bring an extra large rug or two to put down over the ice. It was very icy and there was no salt and you have to walk uphill to get to the cabin and over ice to get to the hot tub. It also would be nice to have better comfortable furniture for watching a movie. The 2 rocking chairs are not that comfy. And if you sleep upstairs, beware the critters up in the ceiling are very noisy at night. Whatever they were, squirrels or mice, they were running back and forth constantly. We would definitely go back. Fall would be a really nice time to go.

Great secluded getaway!

5 of 5
We were looking for a quick secluded getaway and we found it here! It's definitely off the beaten path. When can you say you've stayed in a train caboose?! Now, we can. The caboose is fully stocked with everything you'd possibly need. The weather was frigid, but we kept warm with the cozy gas fireplace. We enjoyed the hot tub, made a fire, made some s'mores and then relaxed with a movie! The surrounding towns have great pubs and food! We found a hiking trail, winery and even a casino. No need to leave the caboose, though. It has everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. We were able to relax before the craziness of the holidays. Thanks so much!
