Perfect Group Getaway Venue

5 of 5
For 15+ years a group of dear girlfriends have enjoyed a weekend together. We've stayed in other places ( like Green Lake & Galena) and had fun, but the Castino Lakeview Mansion in Sheboygan trumps. The house is amazing; very spacious and comfortable. The bedrooms are all large and have up to date bathrooms and sitting areas which offer a bit of respite when you're 24/7 with your BFFs. It's so nice to return to a huge, comfy house/mansion after a day of touring, shopping, going to the spa etc., to recharge before heading out for the evening. The owner helped us with reservations at the Blind Horse Winery for a tasting & dinner. Top notch experience. Late Saturday night we all sat around in the elegant living room and had a glass of wine ( or two) and caught up with each other. Again, a wonderful venue for a large group of friends or family. MUCH nicer than staying in a hotel - several great common areas. The Owner is very reasonable & responsive. Excellent attention to detail - and may I add very clean. I'll vote to return to the Mansion.

Loved it in the Summer, maybe Autumn is next !

4 of 5
We were very impressed with the property and amenities available for our use at the property. One of our sons said it was better than the pictures. Accommodations were very comfortable, the property is spacious and the outside porches, deck, yard and dock made for a great (and quiet!) stay. We all were able to relax and enjoy the great weather. Plus, we were able to watch the Brewers games. It was great to have the two kayaks and the rowboat to use. A swimming raft in the middle of the pond would be great for swimming in the deeper water. Could use a small table and chairs in the enclosed porch and another screen in the windows and a stairway from the deck so you don't have to go through the basement or walk all around the house to get to the pond. The town of Wild Rose is only 2.5 miles away and we were able to get fishing bait and some food items we had forgotten; but overall the property was very enjoyable. If you like birds, (and we do!) there were three sand hill cranes that came every morning and night to our delight. Wild Rose has a groomed path around a lake that also attracts many varieties of birds and is an easy 1-1/2 mile walk.
