          Great Family Vacation Getaway

          5 of 5
My family (6 adults and 3 kids - 65 yrs. old to 13 months) and I stayed at this cabin for a week this past June really enjoyed our visit. We typically rent a cabin each year in Wisconsin and this one did not disappoint. First of all, the bedrooms are very spacious and offer lots of room for baggage, pack n plays, etc. They had clean sheets and were pretty comfortable for a cabin stay. The house was clean and taken care and they were wrapping up the cleaning when we arrived. There are LOTS of towels for both indoor and outdoor use and the bathrooms have great water pressure for those morning showers. The kitchen had everything you would need (except a pizza cutter, but we made it work for homemade pizzas) and could fit all of us at once (tight, but it worked). The house was comfortable the entire time we were there and they get a great breeze during day/night. There is a TV in each room, but we really didn't use much since we spent most of time outside. The outside offers two balconies, one of the main room, and the other on lower floor. The lower level patio area is awesome for bonfires at night and has lots of seating. The sandbox area was great for the little ones to play in and walk into the water while the grown ups fished off the dock or played on the "swimming platform". This is essentially a very mobile floating platform weighted down and held in place by a rope, but it turned out we had a great time using the float. The biggest downside to this lake is the muck bottom. If you jump in and don't keep you legs up your going to be up to your ankles/knees in muck. We learned to live with it and if that is the worst thing then we could handle it. The fishing off the dock was okay with northern, bass and LOTS of sunfish. The fishing around the lake was consistent with northern and bass and would recommend using minnows off the drop offs. There is a canoe to use and we enjoyed taking it around the island. Overall, we had a great trip and would recommend/rent from this property again in the future. The owners were very accessible during out stay and were quick to help with any issues. This is really a great property for families and hope you enjoy it as much as we did. We will be back !!
