This is by far, hands down the only way to stay on the mountain. This cabin is as nice as I've seen. It was clean, cozy and really felt like 'home' when we walked in. You will not beat the convenience of location: walk 50 feet to top of the world for any rentals or lift tickets that you need. Ready to hit Upper flume? Then walk out the back door. Have a sore rear end from skiing or boarding? Hit the hot tub. My only suggestion for the owners would be to lose the bunk beds on the 2nd floor and put a double bed in there and add a queen bed in place of the twin bed on the 3rd floor. This house is perfect for large families (plural) as is. The accommodations were perfect for preparing all meals….from scratch! We didn't eat out a single meal. Talk about economical. We had 14 adults on this trip, and not once did any of us feel crowded or cramped. The downstairs bedroom with 4 bunks had a Playstation 3, plenty of games and a flat screen TV - hey owners: advertise that! The upstairs flat screen had a dvd player with an excellent 80s child movie selection, with classic new releases. This came in handy for a member of our group who took a day off the slopes due to his bum knee.
First Tracts Rental company was the middle management for the renter and they were excellent and very informational. Just be aware some things that you will need to bring yourself: paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, dish towels, hand soap, dishwasher and laundry detergent as well as linens and bath towels if you choose not to use theirs. Our group had such a good time we plan on likely renting this same cabin next year (with the owners permission of course). Thanks again. See you slopeside.
