Better than anticipated!

This is very nearly a perfect vacation home. We spent a week there with our family, including our five year old grandson. There has been a lot of thought given to making sure we had what we needed, and basically everything was there. This house is much nicer than the description conveys. On the first floor, there is a living area, dining area, kitchen, and two bedrooms, one a king sized bed and the other two twins. In the daylight basement, there is another bedroom with a king sized bed, and a second bedroom with two twins. This level also has a full bath, laundry, family room with fireplace and pool/ping pong table. There is a bar area with frig, too. The second floor has another bedroom with king sized bed, with a loft area that has two twin beds. This floor also has its own bath. Having three bedrooms with king sized beds made it very nice, so each couple had privacy as well as the ability to join the group. And my grandson was able to sleep near but not with mom and dad, and he could watch tv in the mornings while the grownups slept. We're already planning to return. Thanks to the owners. The setting is breathtaking -- we sat on the deck in the mornings, watching the mist burn off the mountains. This was just a very nice vacation.

Wonderful!

My family found this place charming, clean and well-kept. The kitchen is well-equipped, the decorations appropriate for the mountain setting, and the view very beautiful. The property is centrally located -- to the north are the towns of Davis and Thomas, as well as Blackwater Falls State Park, and to the south are Canaan Valley State Park and Dolly Sods, as well as Timberline, for those skiiing in the winter. The place is small enough for one family to feel cozy, yet large enough for two families to comfortably fit. I definitely recommend this property.
