Beautiful property and excellent management!

4 of 5
This property was in excellent condition and had a gorgeous view. The communication with management was also wonderful upfront and during follow-up. They were flexible with our reservations and provided everything we needed (including a nice welcome basket!). The only hesitation I would have in recommending this property is the location - we have stayed at other cabins in the area that were also remote but not nearly as difficult to get to. The roads are extremely small and no one in our party felt comfortable driving on them very much (and would never feel comfortable near/after dark). If your intent is to go to the cabin and stay all weekend, this place is perfect! If you are looking to go back into Lewisburg or other towns, go fishing, hiking, or other activities, this may not be the place for you. Overall, thanks for a great stay - it is a beautiful cabin and we had a nice stay!

Keep Coming Back!

5 of 5
My husband and I have been vacationing on the Greenbrier River in Seebert for 30 years. We started in the campground at Watoga, and now we stay at The Guest Quarters or Jeff’s Place. Not because we are too old – we are just SPOILED! This year we stayed in the Guest Quarters in June and September and enjoyed every minute of each trip. I can’t wait to get back next summer. The Guest Quarters will not disappoint you. Its location can't be beat! It's clean and fully stocked with everything you need for a great vacation; and best of all, the owners are super friendly and helpful. They strive to make your getaway - YOUR getaway. Jonelle will gladly answer any questions that you have, and if you need anything during your stay, just let her know. The Guest Quarters has a covered porch with a view, a special “treehouse” over the river, a picnic table, Adirondack chairs, and a fire pit. There is a side yard for playing catch, and little kids could safely ride their bikes near the house. The master bedroom has a small sitting area with a television and views to the river and side yard. An added plus is the Direct TV for any sporting events you may wish to catch, and I do have to admit, I enjoy the WiFi. Cell phone service in the area is spotty or nonexistent (Verizon) so plan accordingly. This property is great for couples or families. Our vacations are purely designed to retreat, relax, and rejuvenate. So, the river, the trail, the mountain beauty, and the peacefulness are perfect for us. We like playing board games and cards, taking hikes, and biking the trail to Marlinton for lunch. My personal favorite is a BBQ sandwich and slice of peanut butter pie at the Greenbrier Grille. There are books and games to enjoy. Kids of all ages will enjoy the river for wading, swimming, minnow catching, rock stacking, rock skipping, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, and of course, fishing. Don’t forget your water shoes! My parents are responsible for my love of the area. It hasn’t mattered if I was 10, 21, 30, 42, or my last trip – my 50th birthday, there is always something fun to do. Using the Guest Quarters as “Home away from Home” makes the trip even better.

Fun for the Whole Family!

5 of 5
First, I must say what a pleasure it was to work with the owner. He was very responsive and provided many great tips for our stay in the area. It was tough getting my large family to commit to vacation dates so his patience was much appreciated. This riverfront property is beautiful and the cabin is really quite lovely. We made some delicious meals in the well appointed kitchen and it was nice to have a sitting area on the covered porch for eating and playing games. We all really enjoyed fishing (although we only reeled in a handful of trout), kayaking, rafting, canoeing, playing corn hole and just lounging in the hammock or swing by the river. One afternoon, we loaded our cars and spent the day at Lake Moomaw. It is only about 20 minutes from the cabin and there is a great beach area with many trails for hiking. We also enjoyed running and riding our bikes along the Jackson River Trail. The trailhead is just a few miles down the road. The outdoor shower was a great way to rinse off after spending the day on the river. The teepee is a site to behold so you really must check it out. All in all we had a relaxing and memorable family vacation on the Jackson River!
