Love that fuzzy moose on the wall!

5 of 5
Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Moose lodge was homey and comfortable. My husband loved the hot tub during the chilly nights in early May. The bed was comfortable. we didn't have any close neighbors, so it seemed as if we had the whole area to ourselves. I would highly suggest the off season in the Canaan Valley. The weather was as beautiful as the landscape. I have already recommended Best of Canaan to several friends!

Very nice country get-away.

The inside and outside of this home have great atmosphere. It's in a little country neighborhood next to the wildlife refuge, so you have some neighbors around, but woods out back. Inside is clean and well-maintained, with decorations fitting the rural area, but new, modern kitchen appliances and a fancy hottub. The deck and hot-tub area are out back where the view is -- since there is a little forest out there, you might have a few leaves/dead branches to sweep. We found the beds comfortable -- on the firmer side, as we like them. Nice place to either just hang out and relax, or explore and hike the area.
