We were two couples (in our 50's) staying at this ocean front home. The master bedroom was really spacious and had an amazing view of the ocean. There was a desk in the master bedroom which was a convenient place for our computer, printer and personal items. It was a comfortable, quiet place to do a little undisturbed work. The master bed was very comfortable for sleeping. I wished I had brought my own squashy, comfy pillow though. There is a spacious walk in closet to keep your personal belongings and the master bathroom had plenty of space to spread out his and her items. The queen bedroom got rave reviews for having a comfortable bed as well. It had a good size closet so the room did not get cluttered with personal items. There were also plenty of blankets to stay cozy. We did not use the smallest bedroom but it had a charming boat shaped trundle bed. The trundle bed opens in front of the door, so the bedroom door needs to be open or closed all the way to function. We loved the open living room/kitchen/dining room concept. We were together all the time whilst enjoying our individual activities: reading, internet, cooking, playing cards, socializing etc. The beach access was fantastic. About 200 yards to the ocean. There was a small drop to the beach which is a little steep - about a 10-12 foot sandy cliff - no problem if you are a kid or a kid at heart. There is another public access if you follow the 4-wheeler path about 500 yards to the south - that is easier if you have left your climbing days behind. There is also access by car about 2 miles south via the state park. You may also drive onto the beach at this access. It was incredibly quiet here. If you are looking for excitement and night life, this is not the place. There is a house on either side, but no one was present, and we had the dunes to ourselves, not to mention the beach virtually to ourselves as well. Tranquil, sedate, relaxing describe the setting. The kitchen was well appointed. We were especially impressed by the dishwasher which seemed to make no noise! We had the dishwasher running while we watched Downtown Abbey and you could not hear the dishwasher even though it is essentially in the same large room. Amazing! There were plenty of dishes to cook and present food. If you are picky about knives you may want to bring your own.
The property was immaculate and well maintained. The owner was very responsive. Highly recommend this VRBO.
