Well appointed, clean & comfortable

5 of 5
We spent a weekend in January. The weather was clear driving from Seattle, then we awoke to storms and heavy rains. We still were able to go to Cape Disappointment Park and Leadbetter Point State Park, though some of the paths were too wet to navigate due to the heavy rains this winter. The home was well appointed, clean, comfortable and easy to find. It is centrally located a short half block from the main street and the beach is a very short walk from the home.

Blue Sea House Happy

5 of 5
We had a wonderful weekend at the Blue Sea House. The owner, Roy was very helpful and accommodating when we asked if we could switch our reservation to the weekend prior to the one we originally booked. Just about everything we could ask for was on hand at the house upon arrival. The only thing we could have used in the kitchen was a roll of foil or cling wrap, but that really was the only thing we dealt without. The hot tub was ready to go and heated up upon arrival, which was a plus. I would say it can accommodate 4 people comfortably. If you don't mind getting cozy, you could probably squeeze in 6. We easily connected to the wifi and found everything we needed in the house right away. I was surprised by how nice the linens and pillows were - they were super soft and smelled very fresh. No need to bring your own. The bed in the master has a memory foam layer on top that was firm, but comfortable. The TV in the living room has HDMI capabilities, but the DVD/VCR player that is attached does not include a BluRay player. (We only brought DVDs anyway.) A TV channel list is conveniently provided, but if you would like to see what is currently showing, turn to channel 53 and the guide will roll by. I noticed the TV in the master bedroom was not listed as an amenity, but there is one there with a built in DVD player. We spent one day shopping, bowling, and dining in town and the other day hanging out at the house hot tubbing, watching movies, walking the beach, and doing one of the puzzles. Overall, it was a great weekend and we look forward to coming back again sometime! Thank you, Blue Sea Team!

Peace of the River (Kalama River

5 of 5
Donna, My expectations were exceeded. Your home on the Kalama was perfect and better than pictured or described. Downstairs rooms were as awesome as upstairs. Your directions & communication get high marks from this old engineer. For anyone who loves nature and wishes to relax in a classical, on the river setting, in the Pacific Northwest, this is the place. Quick & easy access to "civilization" in Longview or shopping in Portland / Seattle if wanted. For me it was exploring & hunting Steelhead watching Salmon in the early morning and late afternoon during the day. In between it was tying flies, resting and then sleeping on the couch with the the doors open and screens closed listing to a river I love. As the Terminator say's-------- "I'll be back" Thank you Donna. Do not normalize the deviance i.e. appreciate the beauty you have in this location and never take it for granted. Fortunately, the Kalama has not greatly changed that much over the years.
