Enchanting cabin near Mt. Rainier park entrance!

5 of 5
My husband and I booked the Laze Daze cabin for part of our 10th anniversary trip from the east coast. Neither of us had been to Washington State before and we wanted to experience Mt. Rainier, so we were excited when we found this wonderful cabin online that was so close to the Nisqually Entrance of Mt. Rainier NP. The owners, Dovey and DeWain, have made this extraordinary little cabin into such a gem! After having driven straight to the cabin (with a stop at the Copper Creek Inn to pick up a fresh blackberry pie - a must do - the best pie I have ever eaten) from Seattle where we had flown in that morning from the east coast, my husband and I were exhausted and it was rainy and chilly outside. When we got to the cabin and opened the door, we were greeted with warmth from a lit woodstove and classical music playing softly in the background. On the table, we found a sweet Happy Anniversary card from Dovey and DeWain and note welcoming us to the cabin from Brenda, the housekeeper. I loved everything about this cabin; the hardwood floors, immaculate bathroom, comfy beds, and even the small deer that visited us the first couple of days we were there and ate the provided deer food right out of our hands! The Stellar Jays, of course, were close by to eat any food remnants the deer left behind! The cabin is surrounded by huge trees and enormous ferns, giving you a sense of awe at the old growth forests surrounding you. My husband and I feel very fortunate to have stayed at Laze Daze cabin. It was a truly memorable experience that I will highly recommend to everyone I know!

Well advertised

5 of 5
Great location. Beautiful surroundings. Probably best for 6 people...the couch sleeper is a bit rough. But it's a great deal all around. We came for White Pass and it was nice to have the equipped kitchen and hot tub.

Great Weekend Away

5 of 5
My spouse and I stayed at this property for an extended weekend with two other couples. There are actually two different cabins, we stayed in Aspen View Lodge. We chose this rental due to its proximity to the Tri–Cities (1.5 hour drive) and to the skiing up at White Pass (30 minutes). We loved the setup at this cabin: 3 bedrooms (each with their own bathroom), fully stocked kitchen, spacious living room with a gas fireplace, and a hot tub on the deck. We definitely made great use of the hot tub and found it was large enough for all of us to sit in at one time. Aside from a day of skiing our main plan was to relax and this place was really great for that. The view from the cabin was great, especially on our last night when the sky was clear and all the stars were out. There is a nice flat screen TV in the cabin as well which we were able to use both for watching movies and playing on the Wii console we brought up. For a little more activity my spouse and I even took a hike on one of the trails behind the cabin. Like I said before the cabin was stocked with pretty much anything you might need but if you do forget something, or maybe want a meal out, there is a restaurant/general store less than a 5 minute drive from the cabin. The owners (Gregg and Glenna) and manager (Bev) were easy to work with and contact whenever we had questions during the rental process. All six of us thought this property was great and have already talked about plans to come back.
