We knew this was the home we wanted to stay in as soon as we saw the photos, and, as others have mentioned, the home surpasses the photos. It is not only beautiful, but well- furnished throughout, and well maintained.
There are 2 bedrooms, a bath, and 2 living areas, including an open kitchen, on the ground level. This seemed to be unusual for Phinney Ridge; most homes I saw have several steps leading to the front door. The deck, with that marvelous view, is also on this ground level. The couple in our party that have some mobility issues had no stairs to deal with, and were comfortable. The furniture not only looks great, it sits well too.
The kitchen.......I've stayed at several VRBO homes, and this one has a kitchen outfitted most like my home. The knives are nice, (sharpener in the block) the pans still have their nonstick coating, the stove is gas and great. The outdoor grill is gas and perfect. We had all we needed to cook and serve great meals, and we consider ourselves pretty good cooks.
The neighborhood.....there is a wonderful market, Ken's Market, up the hill and down a few blocks. We walked there for groceries most days. The homes here are all great. You will feel and are completely safe. Several restaurants are also just a couple of blocks away, uphill, and there is even a hardware store. I mention uphill because someone earlier posted that this neighborhood is not walkable, but it is totally. You only have to conquer the one hill, and then you are level. This neighborhood is also really easy to drive to and from. You will be downtown in 10 to 15 minutes, and it is an easy drive with reasonable traffic.
Parking is on street, but from our experience, always available right in front of the house. And, by the way, you will sit on the front porch and just admire the front landscaping. Well done, Matt and Philip!
Others have mentioned that funky ground level bathroom, and the lack of leg room. Everyone who visited that particular bath commented on it, but you won't care. If you purchased the house, you might change it, but it's fine for a visit. However, this home is listed as wheelchair accessible, and while it is, the bathtub-shower combo in the ground level bath is not exactly handicap accessible. There are no bars to provide stability...again, not an issue for most folks, but our octogenarians had a bit of trouble.
We loved our stay here, and would certainly consider this home again if we return!
