Sleapless in Seattle

4 of 5
We rented this unit to experience downtown Seattle while we moved my son into his new apartment. The unit, although very small, was very nice and well appointed with everything we needed for the stay (would like a regular door on the bathroom though). The included underground parking and rooftop area were great extras! Everything was very close and in walking distance (great restaurants only a couple blocks away). We actually bought everything for a meal from the market and grilled on the roof on our last day. Major issues was the noise, but I guess you would expect that staying in a big city. Bus stop was right below our window and with the hot summer and no air conditioning meant being woke up every morning around 6:00 AM when the busses started. The complex was great, I would probably want a unit on the opposite side if possible.

Perfect in many ways!

Didn't want to leave!! Perfectly located, exactly as described, clean and charmingly decorated--way better than any hotel and a value for the $$$. Kitchen had everything we needed for our quick trip to Seattle-will recommend!

Comfortable and relaxing in a great location

5 of 5
What a wonderful place to stay! Highly recommended. My wife and I plus our two daughters stayed for one week and were very impressed. The unit was very well appointed and the owner thought of EVERYTHING! Such great attention to detail; it had virtually everything we needed to feel at home the entire week and was so well thought out. It was also spotless and we are typically fairly picky about cleanliness. There were some nice restaurants nearby (pizza downstairs, Cyclops café across the street and quite a few other good options like Mama's Mexican Kitchen). We truly did not want to leave and my kids are already asking about a return trip! Positives: -Location. Walking distance from virtually every tourist destination: EMP, Space Needle, Pike Place, etc. Great water view from the windows and tiny balcony. It was a quick drive to Mercer Island or pretty much wherever you want to go even in traffic. -Value. For the money, it was about the price of a hotel room, but has so many more amenities and includes a secure parking location. I've never been that comfortable at even the best hotels. -Comfort. Master bed was wonderful and the fold out couch for the kids was quite good. Nice small kitchen and dining room table. Terrific bathroom. Décor was just super relaxing. Security and everything made me feel very safe. Only a few negatives: -The pool was down for maintenance the entire week which was really disappointing for the kids as that was one thing that drew us to the property. Usually a pool makes every kid happy and tired enough to sleep... That was the only big deal. -WiFi and cable did not work well. We had to connect to a neighboring Seattle Oasis property for WiFi as it didn't work from our condo and it was a tad slow overall. The cable was standard def despite two HDTVs and it had only a few stations; I suspect it just wasn't hooked up properly but we were too busy to worry about it. -Street level noise. You are in the city and I found it unique and fun. Some people might see it as a bigger draw back. Plus when we were ready to sleep we ran the A/C or fan and were fine as the noise would have bothered my wife. Other than that it was really quiet and we didn't hear many other people nearby.
