A relaxing stay away

5 of 5
We arrived the evening of the 14th. The hostess is very kind. The house was clean and well in order, with a notebook of pictures and directions to everything needed to keep the home in order for cleanup, as well as all information needed. The pier was only a few minutes walk from the house, as well as the town. From the pier, the ride to Seattle was free, but you need to pay on the way back. Inside the home, everything was in working order. Pots and pans, dishes, furniture, the bed; all were neat and tidy and clean for use. Overall the stay was relaxing, and lovely. Our hostess treated us very kindly, but wasn't intrusive gave us our privacy. She would call to make sure things were going alright, and to check if we had any questions regarding anything. As far as hosts and hostesses go, she is definitely one of the best I've met. Overall the house is small, but cozy. We didn't need a lot of room, so it was perfect for the two of us. We hope to come back and vacation another time. The only complaint I would have would be the lack of many grocery stores in town. If you plan to go out to eat, or have a car readily available, this may not be a problem, as take out is only a short walk away. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away for a while. It's the perfect medium for someone who isn't looking for a city, but still wants one readily available. We hope to come back soon!

Nice get away

4 of 5
It was our first time to Anderson Island. We really enjoyed it, very peaceful and Relaxing. The cabin was as described and met our needs. The only thing it didn't have was a wine opener and a hair dryer. (Just little things that would have been nice). We loved swimming in the lake and the kids loved the water slide! We went all 3 days! We wanted to use the kayaks but didn't have a way to get them down to the lake with 2 little ones. We saw a fox and bald eagle, but no deer which was surprising. We also went to Andy's marine park at low tide and explored the beach and the hike to/from was pleasant. Patty the owner was very nice to work with and had great communication.

Especially nice for Shipyard business.

The property is clean and well maintained. Renate is a great host & obviously works very hard to ensure everything looks nice. She has developed a good system to make arrival access very easy. The only think I wish I had realized is how much traffic noise Burwell St. generates (24 hrs). If you are used to a fairly quiet environment for sleep then do not pick a unit with bedrooms on the Burwell St. side. Renate's advise about getting a small rental car is VERY accurate. The smaller the better when trying to navigate older garage & parking space. We enjoyed our stay.
