A Pleasant Fall Stay

4 of 5
Rating Details: I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was essentially as presented, although the scenery pictures from the property need to be updated. Untrimmed trees obscure a lot of the view. One picture is NOT from the property (mountain closeup picture). The carpet badly cleaning at a minimum. We were not at the property very often during the day, so the worn condition of the furniture was not an issue to us. The condition of the mattresses was fair to poor, although could be improved with a good "topper". Internet was "iffy", sometimes unable to get connected, frequently connections dropped. The bluff was "protected" by substantial undergrowth, making danger to young children negligible. Sitting on the deck watching the scene was enjoyable. Kitchen supplies were very basic but fairly adequate. We would recommend this property, but with these warnings.

Wonderful get away!

5 of 5
We are just home from our wonderful holiday at your cabin…and we are so glad that we had the good fortune to find about Harstine Island and your small piece of paradise! We had an amazing holiday, everything was even better then we had hoped! What a great job you have done with all those perfect amenities..we could have stayed for weeks just to enjoy all those games, puzzles & books! And everything was so well laid out and easily labelled! Loved it to death! The size was perfect for us and the dogs loved the huge deck & of course the beach, and walks along the roads…it was so incredibly warm we were all in the water (cold as it was) every day! We even went to the Farmer’s Market and had great fun chatting with all the amazingly friendly people. Wonderful, wonderful holiday :-) I am hoping that we will get a chance to come back again and we are very jealous of your terrific view and such incredible peace & quiet!!

Luxurious but comfortable, warm and inviting!

5 of 5
This home is absolutely fantastic! We are a local Seattle family who was looking for a place to escape with the kids for Labor Day. Well escape we did! I've never been in a place so remote (quiet, which for me was fantastic!). It's close to stores and such, but when you're there the only homes you can see are across the lake and there is not a sound to be heard (I think I heard my smile :)!). The place is perfect, nice furnishings, comfy beds, and clean - it definitely doesn't feel like a rental, it feels like you're at your friends house. The pool and hot tub were very clean and the kids were able to swim day or night as the water temp was 82 degrees. I would encourage any future visitors to bring what major food/beverages you want, the local store (10 mins away) is good but limited in selection/quality. We used the canoe and sea kayak, had awesome camp fires each night (great pit by the lake), we really couldn't find a fault with it. We feel lucky to have found it, Rebeca was fantastic to work with, and we will definitely put it on our 2015 calendar! If you don't like gazing out of a beautiful home at soaring eagles. diving king fishers, and fish hunting hawks - this place isn't for you :)! Highly recommended!
