Great little rustic cabin, great location!

5 of 5
The description and pictures do not do this cabin justice. Large windows with great views of the lake and a large waterfall right out the front door. There are actually two rooms with queen size beds in each. One room is the up in the loft and the teens loved having their own area! The wood burning stove was wonderful but the cabin is heated if you don't feel like starting a fire. There is one full bathroom with plenty of hot water. Owner had wood chopped and stacked, and a little fire going when we arrived. Plus marshmallows and hot chocolate for the kids. The cabin is 4 minutes from gas station, 14 minutes from Port Angeles and 1 hour 20 min from Sol Duc waterfall hike. The owner is restoring the cabin to it's original state so expect a few imperfections (one of the windows had a crack but didn't effect heat at all). The care and cleanliness of the place is evident. We had a great time!

Quiet and comfortable

5 of 5
We had a great week at this cabin on lake Sutherland. It was private but not too secluded. The lake and surrounding area is beautiful. The cabin is furnished with comfortable furniture and the kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed the canoe, kayak, and firepit. It's just a short drive to hiking, beaches or National Park attractions. The owner was helpful and quick to respond.

fly fishing-turkey dinner eating-campfire singing heaven

5 of 5
Three families of 50 to 70-something folks landed here with fly rods (the gents!) and books and fixin's for a turkey dinner! Oh yes, some Rye Whiskey, a little champagne and high hopes... and we were NOT disappointed. The cabin is clean and comfortable, and the water access for fly fishing Cutties, Nooks and Silvers was private and lovely. We have already re-booked for next year, same time! Plan to eat in, however, as the restaurant choices nearby were slim and disappointing. Who cares...-it's all about home cooking!! Loved the outdoor fire pit!
