Home Away From Home

4 of 5
We loved this property. It was very spacious and the furniture was very comfortable. The master bedroom was HUGE! The views from the bedroom were great. We wanted to take the shower home with us. The views from the living room were nice but the two outbuildings in the back blocked some of the view in the living area. The gardens were lovely. We went to Hurricane Ridge, Heart of the Hills trail, The Dungeness Spit, Salt Creek/Tongue Point and the local movie theater. I bought beautiful jewelry at the Alley Kat boutique and the grocery stores were conveniently located. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family. I think if you had little kids you would love all the extras provided by the owners including a cool game table with a great selection of games and movies. We really had a nice relaxing three day stay. The only reason I did not give this property a five is because I am rather particular about a full view when I am sitting in the living room. You did have a nice view from the dining room table though and from the left section of the deck. Off season they do not have cable and that did not bother me but my husband missed watching the news.

Wonderful cottage in Sequim!

5 of 5
We had no trouble finding the cottage. It is located on the nine-hole golf course in Dungeness Meadows. Paula's sister, Mary, came by and was great at showing us all the features of the house and details about the area. She gave us lots of great tips about restaurants, stores, etc., etc. There is also a nice array of information pamphlets and maps available at the house. We especially enjoyed the little sunroom off the dining room. In the early mornings and evenings we enjoyed watching the deer on the course. We walked almost every day on the dike along the Dungeness River near the house. We especially enjoyed Stimie's Restaurant - food was great and the waitresses were so nice. Also had a lovely dinner at the Dockside grill. Another highlight was the Starlight Room at the Rose Theatre in Port Townsend - a nice date night. We hope to move up to Sequim after we sell our house so connected with realtors and builders in the area. It was very helpful to stay in Sequim for a while to get a feel for the area and we loved the area so looking forward to our eventual move. We were so fortunate to stay in such a nice place while we explored the area. Would definitely recommend this house to everyone!

Lovely amenities in a lovely location

4 of 5
The house is great, and the location couldn't be better. It was easy to work with the owners, and while you're never really sure how well stocked the kitchen will be in these kinds of places, this one was quite nice, and even had decent pans and knives! The only downside to mention is that it wasn't clear (to us) that the "rec room" should probably be more accurately called "the garage", and of the 4 queen beds, one is in there. As that's where the bikes are also stored, there is a bit of a musty odor in that room. And another queen bed is in the downstairs living room which connects most bedrooms to the house - not a private place at all. But if you don't need those beds or don't care about those things, then there are no downsides for you. :)
