PICS ARE GREAT, BUT IT'S EVEN BETTER IN PERSON!

5 of 5
My wife and I decided to do a local vacation this year and researched different areas near Olympia. We looked at the pics, read the online reviews, and thought this is it. Once we arrived, we loaded all our belongings into the trolley and sent it down to the beach. The walk up and down to the beach house was really no big deal. We're both in our 50's and had no issues with the path. Once we arrived below, we looked around and had to pinch each other. What a view! We found ourselves making excuses not to leave whenever possible. During the week, we took day trips to Mt Rainier, Wolf Haven in Tenino, shopped antique stores in Tacoma, walked around the state capitol in Olympia, and a nice day trip to Seattle. The home interior was tastefully decorated and the owners had stocked the kitchen with almost every imaginable item a traveler could ask for. We LOVED walking the beach and witnessed amazing sunsets. We stayed 7 nights and had perfect unobstructed views of Rainier 4 of the days. It was an inspiring place to visit and we will surely return again. Look closely on the beach, and it won't be long before you find sea-glass. The beach curves around the mansion, and that's where you'll find the perfect sunset.

PEACE AND QUIET THAT'S STILL CLOSE TO TOWN

5 of 5
This house was perfect for us and our two young kids (2 and 4). The kids really liked checking out the inlet and the nature around us. I really liked the location, it was only a five minute drive to the store if we needed something, but felt like it was out of the city. We were also really close to multiple parks, the children's museum and the farmers market. The home owner is great, she is very responsive and left little notes around the house to help us find what we needed.

A COOKS PARADISE

4 of 5
I stayed here with my girlfriend while exploring Olympia. The house was understated and practical, with a very high quality kitchen. From the gas-stove, to high quality cooking equipment, even down to glass Tupperware, it made staying for 6 days much less expensive as we were able to cook our own food comfortably. The caretaker for the house is located nearby and very kind, making accommodations and restocking happen quickly. However, it is a little ways from urbanized areas, meaning you must be willing to drive to go almost anywhere. But with the view, puzzles, movie options and food, who needs to leave?
