                Wonderful Gathering Place!

My family stayed here while we were visiting Olympia for my son's wedding. There were 14 of us staying at the house. It was really comfortable for 12; there are 2 single beds in the hallway of the top floor. I imagine these might have been okay for older children or teens, but we had young children (too out in the open to get them to bed) and adults who didn't want to sleep in the hall. Other than that the house was perfect. It was a great opportunity to get relatives together where we could stay up in the evening and chat--something that would have been difficult in a hotel setting. The second floor deck is large and has a beautiful view. We had a cookout and ate there. It was great.

                Beautiful setting!

My family stayed at this beautiful home for our son's wedding in Olympia. We had traveled from the East coast and this location was perfect. The house is amazing and gave us a great opportunity to spend time together apart from the actual wedding ceremony. We felt it was so much more enjoyable than staying in a hotel. This home is elegant, yet we felt very relaxed here. Some in our group went kayaking while others loved sitting outside and reading while enjoyed the amazing view of Mt. Rainier.

Pics are great, but it's even better in person!

My wife and I decided to do a local vacation this year and researched different areas near Olympia. We looked at the pics, read the online reviews, and thought this is it. Once we arrived, we loaded all our belongings into the trolley and sent it down to the beach. The walk up and down to the beach house was really no big deal. We're both in our 50's and had no issues with the path. Once we arrived below, we looked around and had to pinch each other. What a view! We found ourselves making excuses not to leave whenever possible. During the week, we took day trips to Mt Rainier, Wolf Haven in Tenino, shopped antique stores in Tacoma, walked around the state capitol in Olympia, and a nice day trip to Seattle. The home interior was tastefully decorated and the owners had stocked the kitchen with almost every imaginable item a traveler could ask for. We LOVED walking the beach and witnessed amazing sunsets. We stayed 7 nights and had perfect unobstructed views of Rainier 4 of the days. It was an inspiring place to visit and we will surely return again. Look closely on the beach, and it won't be long before you find sea-glass. The beach curves around the mansion, and that's where you'll find the perfect sunset.
