Lovely getaway!

5 of 5
We had a wonderful weekend here, with a group of 5 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs. We loved being right on the beach, the hot tub, cozy living room, and comfortable sleeping accommodations. Look forward to coming back here another time!

Slice of Heaven

5 of 5
I didn't know what to expect with my little getaway excursion to the Washington coast. This was to be a solitary journey for me. A needed get away from the demands of family, work and life. A time for reflection and renewal. I searched high and low for the perfect place to fit both my budget and my desire for a long, quiet weekend retreat and I struck gold. I almost hate writing a review that would tempt you to book this cottage, because it will impact my chances of having it again, but I have to be honest and tell you this is THE PERFECT place. Clean, modern, quaint. Robert, one of the owners greeted me outside at the end of my stay and I can honestly say, he's as charming at the carriage house. Easy to work with, easy to converse with. I spent a day walking the beach from the carriage house to Pacific Beach. The sun was shining and I saw eagles snacking on the beach and lounging at the waters edge just yards ahead of me. I also had the privilege of meeting and having the companionship of what I would call the neighborhood beach dog, for a leg of my two mile journey. He found a new person to toss his stick after awhile, but I truly enjoyed his company while I had it. At night I was serenaded by frogs and surf. I was in heaven! The kitchen allowed me to make a rack of lamb and seafood fettuccini. Very well equipped for a rental. Robert, I'm planning on coming back! Save me a weekend!!!!

Lovely amenities in a lovely location

4 of 5
The house is great, and the location couldn't be better. It was easy to work with the owners, and while you're never really sure how well stocked the kitchen will be in these kinds of places, this one was quite nice, and even had decent pans and knives! The only downside to mention is that it wasn't clear (to us) that the "rec room" should probably be more accurately called "the garage", and of the 4 queen beds, one is in there. As that's where the bikes are also stored, there is a bit of a musty odor in that room. And another queen bed is in the downstairs living room which connects most bedrooms to the house - not a private place at all. But if you don't need those beds or don't care about those things, then there are no downsides for you. :)
