              THE PERFECT GET-A-WAY!

              5 of 5
I rented the Herron Island home for 2 nights during our wedding celebration. The first night there were 8 of us (seven of my bridesmaids and myself) We each had a comfortable place to sleep and there was plenty of room for everyone. The view from the home is breathtaking. I just wanted to sit on the deck and stare at the view all day, but I couldn't because I had a wedding to attend. The ferry schedule was very easy work around. We made it the wedding, so hassle at all. My husband and I wanted to stay at the home the night of our wedding, but because the last ferry ran at 9PM we didn't think we could make it back in time. Anne and Jim kindly offered to pick us up in there new boat and that's exactly what we did! We left our wedding and went straight to the Lakebay ferry landing, where Jim was patiently waiting off shore for us in his new boat. It was a great way to end a great wedding celebration. It was about 11PM before we got out on the water, but the ride was so perfect. We arrived at the North Beach on the island where a local resident, Leslie, was waiting with champagne and flowers! It was so neat and extremely thoughtful! Jim was super nice and available if we needed anything. The dear on the island were a great plus too. They are very domesticated, so bring treats. They are all over the island. We also saw raccoons roaming around during the day. According to the locals, they are no longer nocturnal on the island. The Herron Island house was a perfect get-a-away. I also should mention that the home was decorated very tastefully, the couches were extremely comfortable, the beds too. The house had everything we needed and then some. I can't wait for our return visit. Thanks Anne & Jim for a great celebration.
