My husband, myself, 3 adult friends and three teenagers had the most relaxing, interesting and restorative vacation ever. The island is eclectically charming, incredibly peaceful and environmentally diverse from the inner island flora and fauna to the coastal beaches, cliffs and tree variety. Life is quiet, the people are interesting and there are deer and raccoons everywhere. The home is beautiful and meticulously maintained. Anne and Jim were gracious hosts and made sure were very well serviced. The teenagers enjoyed crabbing, paddle boarding and kayaking (as did I). The adults walked often, and enjoyed the view from the upper balcony for hours on end. We ventured off of the island a few times. It is quite an experience going on the ferry. Definitely recommend staying in Seattle overnight if that is a desired destination. Gig Harbor is easily accessible in one day. My recommendation for the island is, Come to the island for the island. Stay. It is a fantastic place to relax and get away from bustle. We are very excited to return again and again and again.
