Nice Vacation Property with a Great View

4 of 5
The house is very comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. We were a group of 7 adults and it was plenty big enough for us. There's a pool table and good sound system which was fun. The view is superb and there's a great deck and fire pit. The neighborhood was really nice and peaceful for walking. The beach is beautiful but rocky, so not a great walking beach. Also, they could use a few more lamps in the house to accommodate readers at night. Overall a very nice vacation property and the owners were very flexible and gracious. We would definitely go there again.

great getaway for two friends!

5 of 5
Homey and comfortable. Just off the ferry with amazing views, private yard and on the beach. Eagles, heron, cormorants, coots, and of course seagulls. Quiet and peaceful. Fun to watch the ferry come and go. Home has everything you need. Clean and organized. Netflix, DVDs, books, games all stocked. Beach front location PERFECT. Owner response time was amazing! I would recommend this place, heck, I'll go there again. Langley is a 10 minute drive away with antique shops, a charity thrift store, a grocery, bakery, coffee shops and the best place for breakfast, The Braeburn with excellent food, lots of choices and great wait staff. Was happy that they don't charge incredible deposits and extra fees. I really enjoyed this getaway. Low stress, 20 minutes to the ferry, 20 minutes on the ferry and 5 minutes to the house. I loved it. Downfalls, couldn't get the tub jets to work, there is no hot tub. The fireplace was not working either. It was warm and cozy though. And if I go back during another season, I'll just make a fire outdoors in the fire pit!

Gorgeous property, house, and views

5 of 5
I rented out this property as a place to relax with my wife and boy did it deliver. One could easily spend all day just looking out the windows at the views, or watching the many deer (we counted 5 at one point) graze for food. The property is fairly private, with another residence a couple hundred feet away, but in summer I doubt you'd see any houses with the leaves on the trees. It was also quite a joy to just walk the property and enjoy the serenity of the area. The house was in terrific shape, very clean and welcoming, with some very high quality amenities. The kitchen had anything we needed for cooking, including a really nice gas stove. I loved the bathrooms with spacious showers and heated floors. The owner provided a lot of information about both the house and the surrounding area. Instructions were provided on how to use everything within the house, including the hot tub, which was quite clean and relaxing. The owner was also easily reachable for any questions. We had planned on touring Whidbey Island a bit, but we enjoyed relaxing on the property so much, we never left at all, except for a quick jaunt down to the water via the local trail. It was a good quick hike, quite steep at times, but overall in good shape. The only thing left wanting would be more comfortable seating arrangements. What was there was adequate, but nothing you could just sink into. Also, if you want to watch movies, I'd recommend bringing some to watch, there is a collection of DVD's there, but very few I would want to watch. All in all, I loved this place and will look forward to coming back. I would certainly recommend this place to a friend.
