Great weekend getaway!

The cabin was a gorgeous sigh of relief after a botched snowboarding attempt. You couldn't beat the amazing nature views relaxing in the hot tub listening to the river. Ended the night watching tv shows on the comfy cot with the fireplace crackling behind us. Can't wait to come back again some day!

Great!

I booked Skalitude over labor day weekend for a large family reunion of 9 people and a dog. We were a mixed group, some loving nature and others not so much. In the end everyone loved the experience there regardless of their slant. You have a large valley all to yourself with hiking trails etc and are in the midst of nature with a place that seems most certainly nurtured by people that are in tune with the deeper and mystic elements of existence. While these caretakers are nearby you never see them unless you seek them out. Everyone found their own rhythm and stride here and any tensions a large group might have in smaller place disappeared here. Skalitude is truly off the grid with self sufficient electricity and water. It's amazing that the power is self sustaining over the summer. The only issue we had is that we ran out of water the last morning before leaving. I was warned of this because they have had a particularly dry year this year, not to mention the fires. Not a big deal but if unlimited access to water is a requirement, then skalitude is probably not for you.
