The apartment was as described and location was ideal for us as we were visiting a niece in Bremerton. We were a 10-15 minute walk to the ferry and found the 50 minute ferry ride to Seattle relaxing. We did have to take the 4:50 AM and 6:20 AM a few times, only because we wanted to take Victoria Clipper and Amtrak Cascade trips to Canada and do whale watching in the San Juan Islands. It was worth the early rise though. We were here 15 nights so had lots of sightseeing time for Seattle and Kitsap County as well. Everything was interesting. We discovered the bus system is easy and inexpensive, and the light rail to and from the airport is also quite nice and a bargain at $2.75. We were 3 ladies in the 58-65 age bracket so the slower pace of Bremerton was nice for us. We enjoyed having a comfortable place to stay each evening and felt safe walking to and from the ferry. We enjoyed the fountains and park setting around the ferry and watched Fourth of July fireworks there. The layout of the apartment worked well for us, with one queen and one twin bed. It was nice to have a washer/dryer (shared with upstairs unit). The apartment manager could not have been nicer or more helpful. We asked for a hair dryer and bath mat and she brought them right over. The only suggestion we have is to have one or two bars of soap in the apartment. We arrived rather late in the evening and there was only a hand soap dispenser in the bathroom. We went ahead to the store that night to pick up supplies but we might have waited till the next morning if we had the soap for our showers that night. This was not a big deal really, just a minor suggestion. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay again. I think you will find the rates in Bremerton less expensive than on the Seattle side. It is a slower pace but that was fine with us after a busy day of sightseeing.
