perfect for our small family

5 of 5
Dad, Mom and two kids in our party. This rental worked out very well for us. From the moment we walked in it not only looked great and just like the photos but it also smelled clean and fresh. I was in town for a conference (location is convenient to the convention center by Metro) and brought the family along to explore DC. My wife felt comfortable walking with the kids to the Metro each day while I was working. It's about a five minute walk with a coffee shop and a few other things along the way (try Uprising Muffin Shop!!). We ended up taking the Metro two stops north the a very large Target grocery store to stock up. It was helpful to our budget eating dinners at home. In hind sight though, the neighborhood market just around the corner from the apartment has all of the things we would have needed and we could have done our shopping for dinners there. We just hadn't visited before we hit the Target. We didn't try many of the neighborhood restaurants but there sure are a lot of them to choose from. We spent every evening at home in the apartment and watched quite a few DVDs that we brought. We could tell there was someone staying in the unit above us but never had any issues or complaints to make about noise. I am a light sleeper and it has been a long time since I lived in an apartment but I was mentally prepared for the worst. I am happy that it was not a problem at all :) I would also like to note that we were very happy with the items the owners provided with the apartment (plenty of soap, shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishsoap, coffee, sugar, creamer, tea bags, etc.etc.). We have been disappointed in past rentals to arrive and find out that there was only a "starter kit" provided and having to furnish all of these things yourself is a total pain. We would recommend this place to friends and if you read this far you should pick it too ;)

Convenient location to DC sites

5 of 5
This apartment was a great place for four adults to share for our stay in Washington DC as tourists. The outside and lobby area are well kept and welcoming. The apartment is clean and provides plenty of space. The rooftop gives a panoramic view of DC and a great place to relax. The staff is very friendly and competent. The gallery/Chinatown metro is a few blocks away and easy to use. Attractions such as Ford's Theater and the National American Art Museum/Portrait Gallery are in easy walking distance. A CVS with a limited grocery section is directly across the street and a large grocery store is a few blocks away. There is also a restaurant directly across the street as well as a bakery/restaurant and sub place next to the apartment building. Very convenient. We recommend this property as a great place to stay.

Great location, wonderful apartment!

5 of 5
This was a wonderful location and apartment for our stay in DC. We arrived before the normal check in time, and they were nice enough to accommodate us with an early check in. The manager, Barbara, was a joy to work with and very helpful. There was an issue with the smoke detectors beeping intermittently so we called to let her know. She promptly called the front desk to put in a work order to have it taken care of. We even forgot a pair of shoes, and they are mailing to us no charge! The concierge in our building, Caroline, was really a sweet person. She was there every day with a smile and wonderful hospitality---we will miss seeing her every day! The apartment was just as advertised, although the room was a little different from the pictures, which was no big deal. It was very clean and spacious. The kitchen had everything one would need to cook in, as we did on a couple of occasions. Our stay in DC was very busy, and we walked everywhere. It was nice to have such a comfortable place to come back to and just regroup for a bit before heading back out! We definitely plan on coming back to DC for another visit, as we just could not get everything done that we wanted to do. It was so great to finally visit our nation's capital and learn about all of the history of our wonderful country!
