Great house in a great location

5 of 5
My company rented this house for us to stay in while working a convention. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is located in a trendy section of DC with tons of restaurants, bars, and stores within walking distance. This came in handy on our walks to and from the hotel that the convention was in (less than a mile away). The house is an older row home, but it is kept up nicely. Big rooms, big bathroom! We all slept well and we had lots of space for our group. Nothing felt dated and the wifi worked well (which is important for us). I highly recommend staying at this house whenever you're in DC. Allen does it right.

Excellent Location for a 1st Time Visitor

5 of 5
This was a perfect location for our 1st time visit to our nations capital. Stayed a week with my wife and 2 kids(ages 25 and 21). Alec made the visit easy because he had a handy pamphlet emailed to use prior to our visit. In it you will find everything about the house, transportation, restaurants, sites to visit, etc, prior to getting to DC. This manual was in my back pocket everywhere we went. Union Station(public transportation hub) was about a 10 min walk and easy to find. We went there for a quick bite to eat only because we walked everywhere. We used the Metro only once just for curiosity sakes. We wanted to use the bikes but the 1 time we tried there was only 1 left(out of 24). Not a big deal because we just wanted to try it and wasn't relying on it for our main mode of transportation. We did have a problem with our ceiling fan and Alec was very responsive in getting it fixed. The house is beautiful and the modern kitchen made cooking very easy. We made all of our breakfasts' and most of our dinners there. Getting to the supermarkets were a snap. We had lunch on the run at locations pointed out in the pamphlet given to us. We will definitely recommend the "Yellow House"(as Alec calls it) to people looking for somewhere to stay in DC and we will definitely return. Thanks Alec for keeping the house in great shape. It was a home away from home.

Simply the best!

5 of 5
This is the best place we have stayed in DC – the best in: location – Capital Hill; well kept – super clean and fragrance free which is so important to me and my family; owner/property manager Bob Finn is great to work with. Very helpful.; walking distance to great restaurants and food market. We loved the Tune Inn which is a great dive bar with all day breakfast, Béarnaise the French Bistro, and We the Pizza – excellent. We also enjoyed the Eastern Market for local shopping/flea market which was also waking distance with more restaurants nearby. The are other great restaurants in DC – and so much to see – we will definitely want to stay at this place the next time me and my family come back to DC. Thank Bob for making our stay so enjoyable!!!
