Incredible place

5 of 5
I was so incredibly pleased with this little apartment. I like to write reviews with helpful information for fellow women traveling alone. This apartment is so convenient to the metro and I felt very, very safe here. It's so wonderful to have a living room to come to at the end of the day. I walked from Capitol Hill to the Eastern Market, grabbed some sausage and pasta for dinner, another three or four blocks back and my day was done! The only caveat, which has been previously mentioned, is the narrow and steep staircase to the apartment. Not a problem for me, but might be for some. I travel to DC several times a year and am right now re-booking this gem.

Perfect home for a week's stay in Washington DC

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were surprised at the roominess of this 2-story historic home. Also, it is very well appointed with modern features, while still having a charming old fashioned feel. The central heat was wonderful as we had some chilly November days and nights there. The outdoor deck backyard was adorable and felt very private. The only thing that we did not like was that there is only one bathroom (an adequate one)--and that it is upstairs. A half bath downstairs would've been nice, as we're two old ladies who don't do stairs very well. The kitchen worked very well for cooking meals, which we did daily. And it was very convenient to have a washer/dryer as well. The neighborhood was very handy to public transportation as well as markets. All within a 10-12 minute walk. We did not have a rental car and were glad of that because parking is difficult. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here very much. Kevin, the manager, was right there when we needed him, too, because of a couple of problems--having the wrong door lock code sent to us, and having the lock box with the keys in it fail to open. All was resolved, however. If you don't mind stairs, this is a great place to stay.

This was our 2nd visit at this location for a yearly Army Ten Miler family event. This is our favorite place to stay and will be our tequilas place from now on. This is a great location and every convenience you can think of, we walked to museums and metro. Deborah is the best!!
