Great and clean apartment in DC

5 of 5
The apartment was clean and secure, dealing with Mr.Mark and Ms.Barbra was very easy. The kitchen was equipped with every thing you need. There was a near Safeway market just a 10 min walking. A sub way restaurant just beside the entrance door. There are 2 bus station just in the end of the street 1-2 min walking. Union station was 25-30 mins walking. The Wifi was great and fast. The Terrace is also awesome and quite. The only small drawback is that if you have children with you and you were a tourist, it might be tiring for them to walk to the attractions as its a bit far from the apartment. Overall, We loved our stay here and we will recommend it to our family and friend

Apartment Review

4 of 5
To help future visitors-when you first get to the property-there are parking spots around the corner off of Fairfax that are marked for future residents. We did not know and had some stress trying to figure out how to park and check in. My husband had to drive around until I could get the parking pass from the front desk. The unit was okay-not as luxe as the description suggests. The beds were comfortable. It was nice having a washer & dryer in the unit but they were older machines. There are no place mats or tablecloths for the table. Although, the unit says no pets-the building residents had quite a few dogs-in case someone is allergic-they ride in the elevators etc. We love dogs so no problem with us. We bought an extra parking pass for the three nights for our Navy son-he was called back to the ship after 1 night and we could not get a refund for the other two nights. There was no military discount either. The grocery store in the building was convenient but expensive-we used it anyway since we do not know the area and did not want to drive around too much. We used the club room (for pool) and the business center which was nice. The wifi did not always work in the unit. We did not swim in the pool but it looked nice. Since this was our first trip back East, we really did not know the area. If we come back we will probably stay at a Hotel- just to be able to get more information about the area and more flexibility with check in/out times. The concierge(s) was helpful. We were missing facial tissue and were not able to get any until after the weekend. The view was nice since we were in a higher floor. Starbucks was a couple of blocks away. Overall, the apartment worked for us. We were only there three nights and we had to drive to Newport News,VA one day so we did not get to enjoy the area as much as we would have liked.

A wonderful place to call home on our vacation

4 of 5
The apartment was such a great place to have as our home base during our vacation in DC. The furniture was comfortable, the bed was great! Lots of extra pillows and linens provided. Tile floor was nice on the warm days we were there. We were surprised at how quiet it was inside. As mentioned by other visitors, yes you can hear the people walking around upstairs, but nothing worse than we have heard when living in other apartments with upstairs neighbors, and it usually ended around the same time we went to bed anyway. But as for street noise and sirens and people talking outside, we heard none of it throughout the night. It was great! The restaurants around the apartment are great! We stopped at Right Proper Brewing or Shaw Tavern almost every evening for drinks before heading home for dinner. Couple of gripes: The crickets were insane! We caught several inside the apartment and a couple woke us up in the middle of the night, they were somewhere inside but we could not find them. Don't know if that's something you can spray for or not. Lack of traction or grab bars in the tub. I did slip and fall once (luckily I'm young and bouncy) but someone might really hurt themselves. Need a few more useful utensils in the kitchen. Knives could use an upgrade as well as a decent spatula and pizza cutter. We were on a limited budget so we cooked at the apartment a lot and those were the things we missed. Other than that yes the ceilings are low, but for two people on the shorter side, it wasn't a big deal. Overall this place was great for our trip and we would definitely stay there again!
