The house was perfect for our family reunion! Sandy was a gracious host who responded immediately to any questions and went out of her way to make sure our stay over Christmas was perfect. She even laid out holiday decorations for us since our group of 27 came from about 7 different states.
Almost every room in the house included a private bathroom and flat screen tv which made it convenient for all the different families to have their space and privacy. The kitchen was equipped with plenty of cooking and baking utensils for us to easily plan our meals for such large groups. The main dining room area had a really long table for us and also included a few other tables and chairs so we could put everyone all together in one room for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meals.
There was a convenient bus stop right across the street which was about a 45 minute to hour ride to get to all the museums and monuments. Uber was also a very fast, cheap and super efficient mode of transportation for those of us that did not want to deal with public transportation. For the few people that drove, parking on the street right outside was beyond easy and safe (no permits required or time issues to be worried about).
Not many negatives to list, if I had to list any I'd mention that it is a victorian house so it's pretty creaky and the walls are thin. With over 20 people in one house, it's pretty hard to expect anywhere to be nice and quiet though. There was one day we all planned to leave the house at the same time to make a group tour and a few of us didn't get the hottest of showers. Oh and for any tall individuals, the kitchen is in the basement part of the house and some of our guys had to be careful to duck to get to the refrigerator.
I would easily recommend this house for anyone staying with a large group. Our family had a wonderful stay!!
