The beds were very comfortable, soft linen. Perfect location, parked the car and used the metro a few blocks away. Parking is an issue, but were able to obtain a parking permit from Lois for $15.00, this is the cheapest we found. Kitchen was well stocked, and having the washer and dryer was perfect timing, because we had been traveling for a week and needed to wash clothes. Grocery store around the corner, also coffee places, as well as target etc if needed. Bathroom in hall, but convenient, showering in the tub felt a little unsteady because the bottom was curved, but the water was hot and still enjoyed the shower. My sister and I are over 55, had no problem with the stairs, but it is on the third floor, no elevator. Lois called within a few minutes when we called about the parking permit, very attentive and helpful. Property was clean and well stocked, would stay again.

Charming apartment and great location!

4 of 5
Nicely furnished and clean apartment on 2nd floor. Beds were very comfortable. No sign of any pests. Location was very convenient to Metro and shopping in the heart of Columbia Heights. Everything was in working order except the washing machine which was broken when we arrived. The back bedroom was pretty quiet (infrequent noise from upstairs), but background traffic and street noise was persistent in the front bedroom that faces busy 13th street. We live in quiet rural area, so not used to hearing typical sounds of the city, which might not be as noticeable to others that live in urban areas. Overall, highly recommended for location, cleanliness and charm.

Awesome Getaway! Awesome Apartment!

5 of 5
We could not have asked for a better situation for our family of 5. We were so comfortable in this home and it was very convenient to Metro and Giant Supermarket. We toured all of the attractions by Metro and even jumped on the Old Town Trolley tour and took in all the sights there were to see and returned to this cozy home and prepared simple dinners in the very lovely, full equipped kitchen at the end of each day. Lois Houston, the property manager, was the BEST and right on target with her recommendations of this apartment and with her advice for our travels through the area. She was gracious and accommodating in every way. The parking is a little tricky as pointed out in the other reviews. After the first day, we just parked our car in the U- Street Parking Garage by the Target Mall around the corner and for a mere $20 per day, left our car there for the balance of our trip. We took the Metro everywhere and didn't have to think twice about figuring out the street parking situation, a small, worthwhile daily investment that I would highly recommend.
