Cute, clean, well-located

4 of 5
This is a very cute, clean and comfortable place in a very handy location. The Adams Morgan neighborhood is so much fun, and a restaurant row with all varieties of coffee houses, foods and prices starts at the corner. Zoo is not far. Buses are at the corner. We had no difficulties, but the owners were very available just in case. We stayed two weeks and loved it.

Perfect venue for family reunions

5 of 5
We rented both the house and the lower level apartment so 15 of us from three continents could celebrate our son's wedding and also enjoy a week-long vacation together. We ranged in age from 24 to almost 90 and everyone agreed it was both the perfect house and perfect location. The kitchen is fantastic-- large enough for us all to congregate. The third floor bathroom is spectacular. Allen was immediately responsive to minor issues and is an engaging host. And everything in DC is easily accessible on foot, by Circulator, bus, and metro. Highly recommended!

Family enjoyed staying here

4 of 5
My family of four stayed here for a week in during our stay in the DC area. We all loved this basement apartment. It was well appointed with all of the amenities we needed, i.e. full kitchen, washer and dryer, iron, etc. The neighborhood was very nice as well and had an eclectic feel to it. The walk to the nearest Metro was about 10 minutes and wasn't bad at all. We also took the bus to the Washington National Cathedral, which stops right in front of the apartment. Allen provided excellent service. We shopped at the nearby Safeway and Harris Teeter for groceries and had pizza delivered one evening. Also ate at the Mintwood Place. Food and service were excellent and they accommodated our young children very well. My only complaint is we heard people walking in the apartment above us starting early each morning.
