Awesome Shamrock location!

5 of 5
Our family enjoyed our weekend at Flamingo Cottage! We were in Va. Beach for the Shamrock Half Marathon. The route came a stones throw from the house, just across the service road & median. We could see the race from the kitchen and hear spectators cheering for the runners. My daughter (the runner) and her husband were able to ride their bikes to the start of the race, about 2.5 miles away on the boardwalk and did not have to worry with driving and parking! They said the arrangement was perfect. The early morning bike ride made for a good race warm for the run. The cottage was clean and charming and Gretchen couldn't have been kinder. The kitchen had everything need for the preparation of large pre-race spaghetti meal. There were unexpected things to keep my grandchildren entertained. A nice selection of books for naptime and bedtime, a snap together train track that the 3 year old enjoyed, a box of Legos, that I even played with, a small soft football for little hands to practice tossing in the grassy back yard. My 6 year old granddaughter enjoyed riding her bike safely on the long driveway. We also made the short walk to beach for a few pictures, but it wasn't quite warm enough for us to linger too long. I would love to come back in the summer and enjoy the beach when it's warmer. Thanks again, we appreciated your hospitality! r & r and family

Wonderful Cottage

5 of 5
Our stay at the Corso cottage was great. My 6 year old loved being able to ride her bike to the beach everyday. And she loved getting rinsed off in the outdoor shower. And there is so much to do close by. And the owners are wonderful they make you feel right at home.

Great Vacation

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed a week in this adorable cottage only one block from the board walk and beach walking distance to a lot of great restaurants. There is a awesome Aquarium just a little drive from the cottage. An easy access to the 264 which takes you right into Norfolk with lots to see and do. It was clean and well maintained. Jon gave us great help with area and parking for our son to come visit while we were there. I would differently recommend it to family and friends who were looking for a great place. We felt quite at home. Hope to see you again real soon, thanks again for a nice stay. Fran and Charlie from Plymouth, MA
