Beach Getaway

4 of 5
I had a wonderful time here! The location is ideal! It is across the street from the beach and located behind a Walgreens. There are many restaurants within walking distance too. We especially enjoyed Dough Joe's, a gourmet doughnut shop. The only drawback was noise from the adjacent hotel and the jets flying overhead. I would recommend this rental overall.

Should be advertised as "home away from home"!!

5 of 5
This place was far better than we anticipated and enjoyed it so very much! We went with our family of kids and grandkids and it was a hit with all! The men could go fishing down the canal to the bay, the kids enjoyed the pool and beach, and the ladies enjoyed relaxing around the pool, beach or on the canal dock. The owners allow use of their water toys, and the paddle board and kayaks were a hit, but the hydro-bicycle was the best of all the water toys in my opinion. The first and second floors are very spacious. The neighborhood quiet. The walk to the beach, short. The beach is also great in that area. Not too busy or congested with people. Just lovely all around! The owners who reside on the third floor were only seen in the front yard occasionally with their pup, and were always friendly and accomodating. Plenty of parking. Don't let the fact that the owners are so close by deter you from this place. It still feels like a home even though it is advertised as an apartment. The owners were never in the backyard where we hung out at the pool or were grilling or eating outside, so it's not like you have to share that lovely backyard with anybody but your group. Every part of the home was clean and well maintained, and beautiful on the inside as well as outside. Some of the pictures online are out of date. When we were there, there was newer furniture in living room and larger dining table that seats 6. Kitchen looks small, but I cooked for 10 adults and 4 children several nights and every meal all week and it was not a problem! Thanks so much for the owners for sharing their home with us, and giving our family such great 2014 Summer Memories! Definitely want to go back again!
