Good property just needed some minor attention

First let me cover the basics and the important things about this property. It is as advertised. It is 2 blocks from the beach. The walk wasn’t bad either and we felt safe making the walk with our family. The area seemed like a decent neighborhood. We had no issues at night with loud noises or people partying and so on. Parking at the condo proved to be a little challenging at times as you have to share the drive with whoever is renting the front portion of the house\condo. We had our minivan and the other renters had a minivan, it was tight but it fit and we made it all work. As I mentioned the rental is actually a house that has had a section added on in the back (where we stayed) and the front portion of the house is another rental piece presumably owned by the same person. The owner asked us to contact him when we were an hour away so he could meet us there. We showed up at the rental and he was there within minutes of our arrival. The owner gave us a tour of the place which was nice and told us to contact him if we needed anything. He also allowed us to add an additional person to the stay at last minute. He didn’t fuss about it and told us he would hold out money from our deposit for the extra person. We agreed and were very happy there was no hassle. The condo was clean which I was surprised. I know every rental says their rental is “clean” or “the cleanest” but this one can actually advertise this. The bathroom was clean (big issue with me if it’s not). The owner provided clean sheets for the beds. The overall condition of the condo was good and as advertised. We did have some issues however. The biggest being the pull out bed was broke. We pulled it out of the couch and the portion of the bed where your feet would rest was bent\broke causing the bed to be inclined and unsupported at that end. My wife and I slept on it for 1 night and knew that we wouldn’t be able to sleep the entire time like that. Since we had talked about getting an air mattress for our home back in Ohio we decided to purchase one and use that instead of the pull out bed. I want to give the owner the benefit of the doubt that it recently broke and he wasn’t aware of the issue. We did notify him of it though so hopefully he will get it replaced. All the other issues were minor. Like purchasing some household items we thought were going to be provided. Some items were present but not enough remaining like the hand soap and toilet paper.
