Family Thanksgiving - 2014

5 of 5
It has been almost a month since I rented the Riverview Farm home for my family's Thanksgiving gathering. The memories will be with me forever. The home was perfect and provided for our every need. The snow storm did not dampen our fun but added to it. The beautiful white visa overlooking the Shenandoah River, horse farm and the Blue Ridge Mountains is imprinted in all our minds. This also provided for a backdrop for Christmas greeting cards. From the snowball fight, snowman building, sledding, to the challenges at air hockey, ping pong, and pool are cherished memories that involved both young and old. We took advantage of all the tables and chairs so the whole family could sit together for our Thanksgiving feast. What more can I say but a huge thank you to Jerry and Kathleen for sharing their beautiful home with my family. God Bles Them! Carol Duffy

Great Stay

5 of 5
We had a great time at the cabin. We were on the fence about booking it after reading other reviews about the noise, but we were really glad we went. I think we heard the train twice in the two and a half days we were there, but it wasn't very loud, definitely not loud enough to wake us up. The cabin is a really warm welcoming place. There were a lot of nice seasonal decorating touches, and we enjoyed the porch swings, jacuzzi, fire pit, and board games. We'll go back.

Great Getaway Spot

5 of 5
Hilltop Cabin was as described and better. The location is great, close to a public boat launch where you can fish the Shenandoah, great country for cycling, and only a short drive to the National Park. The cabin is well prepared, spotless, warm and with all necessities, including linens and plenty of towels to use after the fantastic hot tub. The place is beautiful, with a rustic look, but with luxury appointments, full kitchen with washer, hot tub (indoor and out) etc. A true gem, we will be back.
