Quiet, clean, and enjoyable

4 of 5
We went to Gabe's with our pre-teen to do passport 2 purity with him. Valerie met us when we got to the property and showed us around including the horses who never met a carrot they didn't like. The owners are not a all intrusive during your stay. My son and I wanted to shoot BB guns and Brad was generous enough to make us a target. Their granddaughter added a nice fragrance to rental by picking some beautiful flowers for us. The following are not criticisms but just things to take note of if you are considering this rental: - You have no idea you are over a barn from a smell or noise perspective - They do allow pets and there are spots within the rental that you notice that because of the smell. Not overwhelming by any stretch. - If you have trouble showering on a cruise ship due to the size of the shower expect the same. Biggest thing for me is how clean it was not the size (it was clean). - Cooking is pretty limited to a hot plate and the microwave. - WiFi was extremely quick - Dish Network; TV's in living room and in bedroom can be watched in tandem or separate programs. The only reason I didn't give it a 5, I seldom if ever give the highest rating for anything because there is always room for improvement. My wife and I are thinking of renting here later as a get-away for us. Thanks again Valerie and Brad for a great couple of days.

Perfection!

5 of 5
When looking for a hotel outside of Charlottesville, I found this charm and we could not have been more pleased. I would stay here over a hotel room any day. Jean and Frank's rental was comfortable, relaxing, clean and well kept. Having the farm as your vacation background was the icing on the cake. Jean thought of every detail in this rental, you wont need anything but clothes and food. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway this is it, I have missed waking up on their farm every morning since we left. There are many great local attractions and amazing landscapes to enjoy. Highly recommended!

Perfect!

5 of 5
The Main Street Apt. was perfect. It was clean and quiet and a stone's throw from the back entrance to The Homestead. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog, since the hotel no longer allows dogs. The owner was very accommodating and quick to respond to emails. We will be back!
