Great Cabin. Recommended.

5 of 5
We felt very welcome and the owners were great and the cabin was perfect. Everything was just as we had hoped it would be. The cabin was even cuter than in the photos. Definitely coming back! Recommended.

Perfect weekend with friends in a beautiful home!

5 of 5
The Aviary was perfect! Plus, the owner was responsive, prompt, and very nice. We noted a great weekend with friends. There was plenty of room for the three families, including four kids. The kids loved the under-stairs nook! The kitchen had everything a chef could want and was well organized. The home was clean and beautifully decorated, making it feel like home. The screen porches with fireplace was a cozy place to relax on a chilly night. Massanutten has so much to offer as well! The drive to the ski area was short and simple. Perfect weekend!

Perfect combo of wilderness and modern comfort

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed at this cabin for 7 nights with our 8+ month old daughter, and two dogs. Katie and Steven were great hosts; both were helpful whenever we needed it, especially with getting fires started. The cabin really was a great mix of modern comforts, while still feeling like a real cabin experience. Shower is hot with good pressure, gas stove is awesome, living room furniture is comfortable, TV is nice, beds are comfy too, plenty of space in the fridge for groceries, and good pots and pans for cooking. The town is close enough for grocery shopping, and getting to some of the various sights nearby, while being far enough to feel secluded and away from it all. I would encourage others to go during the winter, as that makes the cabin experience more authentic and enjoyable, in my opinion. Although I think the next time we go will be in the fall, just to get a different perspective on the mountain and surrounding area.
