Recent Shenandoah Valley Reviews

We loved our stay at the Crow's Nest!

5 of 5
Our family chose the Crow's Nest because we had family visiting from out of state and we all wanted a tranquil place to relax for a few days and tour around the Shenandoah Valley. We all loved this house and the location. Here are a few of the highlights for us... - Upstairs and downstairs covered decks with no view of neighbors. I counted 5 seating areas on the decks! - Very quiet, except for the morning crows and the occasional car passing by. - Loved the open layout of the main floor. I counted 7 floor to ceiling windows in the main area letting the light and view of the trees in. - The upstairs and downstairs areas felt like separate apartments - The kitchen was well equipped. Had most of what we needed. Loved the steel chef's table and the clean new appliances too - It was well supplied throughout, with soaps, cleaners, linens, towels, room fresheners, and night lights. That was a very nice surprise. - They guys enjoyed the game room a lot. - There was plenty of space for everyone. I especially enjoyed working with the owner, who truly wants her guests to have a wonderful time. I must have emailed her questions 6-8 times and she was always quick to respond. Check-in and out instruction and directions to the cabin were very clear. We hope to go back again next year!

Clean and roomy!

5 of 5
We had a great stay at Amazing Grace. When we arrived we were greeted by a nice basket of homemade treats when we entered the kitchen. The house was very clean when we arrived. The open floor plan provides a great living space with plenty of room to work in the kitchen and still socialize with people in the living area. The owners were great at getting back to us if we had questions and the directions to the home were very helpful in finding the house. Although we didn't get to explore them due to our schedule, the Luray Caverns are just minutes away, just as advertised. We were disappointed there was no grill, but found what we needed in the kitchen to meet our needs. The one thing that needs some attention is the driveway. The base of the driveway is a shared driveway with two main turns leading to the house. The lower portion is unpaved and it appears that erosion and vehicle traffic has worn some deep ruts and exposed some large rocks. We had a Dodge Charger for our rental car and once or twice we had some difficulty making it up the hill. A skilled driver can navigate the terrain, but it would be nice to see the driveway improved. We would definitely recommend Amazing Grace to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with privacy and space, but with access to the local attractions. We would definitely rent there again!

The cabin was amazing!!! The pictures do not do it justice!!! It was secluded but very close to everything we wanted! We felt very at home and totally enjoyed our stay. Katie, Steven and the Kids welcomed us and made us feel very welcome!!! We will def be returning for another visit and can't wait to do so!!! So if your thinking about staying here def do it's great!!! We couldn't ask for a cleaner place to stay. It def was worth our money spent!!!! I am telling all my friends about it!!!
