We loved our stay at the Crow's Nest!

5 of 5
Our family chose the Crow's Nest because we had family visiting from out of state and we all wanted a tranquil place to relax for a few days and tour around the Shenandoah Valley. We all loved this house and the location. Here are a few of the highlights for us... - Upstairs and downstairs covered decks with no view of neighbors. I counted 5 seating areas on the decks! - Very quiet, except for the morning crows and the occasional car passing by. - Loved the open layout of the main floor. I counted 7 floor to ceiling windows in the main area letting the light and view of the trees in. - The upstairs and downstairs areas felt like separate apartments - The kitchen was well equipped. Had most of what we needed. Loved the steel chef's table and the clean new appliances too - It was well supplied throughout, with soaps, cleaners, linens, towels, room fresheners, and night lights. That was a very nice surprise. - They guys enjoyed the game room a lot. - There was plenty of space for everyone. I especially enjoyed working with the owner, who truly wants her guests to have a wonderful time. I must have emailed her questions 6-8 times and she was always quick to respond. Check-in and out instruction and directions to the cabin were very clear. We hope to go back again next year!

Immaculatley maintained cabin, perfect getaway!

5 of 5
We had a great time staying at this new, well maintained and outfitted cabin. From upscale furnishings to a wonderful hot tub to screened in porch to washer and dryer, this is a great experience. Close to Luray, several wineries, antique stores and art warehouses as well as ample hiking, canoeing and cavern opportunities. We're looking forward to going back soon!

Excellent vacation rental for large families!

5 of 5
We booked this property for a short vacation during labor day. There were 8 of us from 3 separate families and I think each and every one of us was blow away by the house! The pictures do not do the interior of the home justice. Each bedroom is spacious, with beautiful wood dressers and comfortable large beds (queen sized for most, king in the master). You get wonderful views of the mountains in each of the rooms as well, though we barely spent any time in the rooms. Considering each room is equipped with a rather large flat screen TV, it's amazing that everyone loved the outdoor spaces so much they didn't even want to watch anything. We are a family of TV lovers and I think the TV was on maybe 15 minutes the entire weekend. There is a nice dining and living room, as well as a very spacious and functional kitchen. While there are not groceries or spices, the kitchen has all the pots/pans/utensils you could want. The outdoor space made the house spectacular! There is a large porch in the front with rocking chairs that was lovely in the morning and evening. The back has a large stone patio with ample seating and a BBQ. The hot tub was fantastic, once we figured out how it worked! We spent 90% of our time lounging outside, talking and just enjoying the breeze. The view is very beautiful, though there are some power lines and some cars that pass by. The indoor game room is a real treat! We spent our evenings there, playing pool and ping pong. As others have mentioned, there is an air hockey table but it has weak-ish air flow. As for the entertainment around the town, there is a river adventure tour within 5 minutes of the house that we used to go tubing. Within 20 minutes are also several wineries. Shenandoah Park is about 40 minutes away. All-in-all, this was a wonderful vacation property. We got to spend time as a family without being on top of each other. I highly recommend this property.
