A wonderful place to relax and very fun location

5 of 5
We rented this house for the weekend and for the price we paid, we did not expect such a wonderful place, as soon as you walk in, you just feel home in there, they give you all kinds of goodies, they gave us a basket with fruit and chocolates and wine, In all my home stays at home away, no one ever did that, it was such a sweet surprise. We are also serious anglers, so we spent most of our time on the water fishing, although the tide was very high at times, but we did not mind getting wet, we caught lots of fish. Very private house, no neighbors to contend with, Its def a keeper and we will come back. The owners are very nice people as well.

Race Week-end

5 of 5
Our race week-end in September was made so much more pleasant by staying at this awesome home on the very private lake in Richmond, VA. The owner was so helpful in planning our visit. We typically stay at hotels for race week-ends, but this home looked so inviting and since we had two couples to share the expense, it was just perfect for our extended week-end. It was very close to the racetrack and to downtown where all of our events took place. We loved the private lake and even saw a bald eagle fly over us two days during our stay. The house had everything we needed and was very spacious. We are very thankful this couple was willing to share their home. I have had some questionable experiences in the past, but this home was very ready to act as the retreat we needed. You really would never know anyone lived here except for the personal pictures which we very much enjoyed viewing. It was the perfect getaway before and after a race week-end.

A secluded riverfront dreamhouse

5 of 5
We stayed at the Aylett River spot for Memorial Day Weekend and loved it. Between fishing, kayaking, canoeing, building firepits, relaxing in the hammock, grilling, and enjoying the view from the porch we could barely do it all in three days. Larkin, the owner, is super friendly and accommodating. Our dog was bummed when she had to get back in the car and go home. We will come back.
